Dubai World Cup (Gr.1)

The world’s richest horse race, carrying prize money totalling US$6 million and attracting the world’s top thoroughbreds, has had Emirates as its title sponsor since 1996. The Dubai World Cup takes place at Nad Al Sheba Racecourse in Dubai.

Melbourne Cup

Emirates is title sponsor of the Melbourne Cup until 2010. The Emirates Melbourne Cup is billed as the race that stops a nation. Three-year-olds and over compete, covering a distance of 3,200 metres. It is generally regarded as the most prestigious "two-mile" handicap in the world. The event is held in November at the Victoria Racing Club on the Flemington Racecourse in Melbourne.

Champion Stakes, Newmarket

Since 2003, Emirates has sponsored the Champion Stakes. The “Emirates Airline Champion Stakes” is a Group 1 flat horse race in the UK for thoroughbreds three years old and over, run over a distance of 1 mile 2 furlongs (2,012 metres) at Newmarket's Rowley Mile course in October, yearly.

Yorkshire Cup, York

Cementing an already solid and long relationship with York Race Course, Emirates has just confirmed a new three year sponsorship of the Yorkshire Cup taking us through to 2011. The Emirates Airline Yorkshire Cup will therefore continue to be one of the highlights of the racing season at one of the UK's favourite courses. The Group 2 flat horse race for thoroughbreds four years old and over run over a distance of 1 mile and 2 furlongs will continue to be held in May each year with the 2009 date being Friday 15th.

The Singapore Derby

Emirates is title sponsor to the Singapore Derby, held at the Singapore Turf Club. In 2009 the Singapore Derby will take place on July 12.
