There are 14 FAQs for Online Check-in.
Online check-in is a system that lets you save time and hassle at the airport by checking in for your Emirates flight online prior to arriving at the airport.
Online check-in is available twenty-four (24) hours prior to your flight's scheduled departure time and closes 90 minutes prior to scheduled departure for all passengers who have eTickets.
Online check-in is not available for codeshare flights that are not operated by Emirates. At present, online check-in is available for all Emirates flights departing from the following airports:
In order to use online check-in, you must know the surnames of all passengers you will be checking in and have the Booking Reference/PNR from your eTicket.
When you have the necessary information:
Visit the Online Check-in page.
Enter your surname, Booking Reference/PNR, flight number and select your board point to initiate your check-in.
Select the passengers you'd like to check in.
You may be asked to enter Advanced Passenger Information if required by the destination country.
You will then have the option of changing seats and adding any missing Skywards numbers before finalising your online check-in.
Once you've completed the check-in process, you'll be issued an online check-in receipt or an eBoarding Pass (available at select airports) for each passenger in your party. Please print* and take your Online check-in receipts or eBoarding pass with you to the airport, allowing sufficient time to complete the remaining formalities.
If you have been issued an online check-in receipt, upon arrival at the airport, proceed either to the Emirates check-in counter or to the designated online check-in counter to exchange your receipt for your boarding pass.
If you have been issued an eBoarding pass, follow the reporting instructions for the airport on the boarding pass.
The online check-in system will allow you to check in for all eligible flights scheduled to depart within 36 hours of the time you use online check-in. If your return or onward flights are scheduled to depart within 36 hours of your outbound flight, then the online system will allow you to check in for these flights. If any of your flights are scheduled to depart more than 36 hours after your outbound flight, you will need to repeat the online check-in process for those flights closer to the scheduled departure time.
Please note if your return/onward flight departs outside of the 36-hour window from an airport where online check-in is not currently offered, you will need to follow normal check-in procedures for that flight at the main Emirates desk.
The immigration authorities of Australia, Bahrain, Canada, China, India*, Japan, Korea, Kuwait, New Zealand, South Africa, the United Kingdom, and the United States require all airlines to provide passenger passport information prior to departure of any inbound flight to ensure safety and security.
If you are travelling to one of these countries, you can still use online check-in where available, provided that all of the relevant passport information for you and anyone travelling with you has been completed. If any passport information is missing or incorrect, you can add or edit that information through the online check-in system.
Please note that all travel in such instances is subject to the approval of immigration authorities in the destination country.

Your eBoarding Pass functions in exactly the same way as a normal boarding pass, and includes your seating assignment, Boarding Gate number and flight details. Business Class and First Class passengers may bring their eBoarding Passes to the Emirates Lounge for Lounge access.
You will receive an eBoarding Pass upon completion of Online Check-in at relevant departure cities, either by email, by choosing View / Print eBoarding Pass or both. Simply print your eBoarding Pass and bring it with you to the Boarding Gate or to the Bag Drop counter if you are checking baggage.
At Dubai Airport, you will need to be at the Boarding Gate no later than 35 minutes before departure, or the Bag Drop counter at least 90 minutes before departure. These times vary at different airports, so please be sure to check your eBoarding Pass which will state the required times clearly.
If you are unable to print your eBoarding Pass, you may print your boarding pass at the airport Self Check-in kiosks in Dubai only or proceed to an Emirates Check-in counter.
