China Malaysia Switzerland
Cote d'Ivoire Maldives Syrian Arab Republic

When will online booking become available in my country?

We are planning to introduce online services from new destinations in the near future. As soon as we launch online services from a new destination, we will announce it on our website.

In the meantime, if you live in a country where online booking is not yet available, you can still benefit from using this site by finding suitable flights online and then booking your ticket through our email inquiry form. Alternatively, you can call your local Emirates® office to make your booking.

How do I get started using online booking?
You can start by visiting Make a Booking in the Plan & Book section of this site. You will then be guided through the process of planning an itinerary, selecting flights, and making ticketing arrangements.
Can I check availability and fares without actually purchasing a ticket?
You do not need to pay or even provide your credit card details to check availability and fares. We only require your payment details if you choose to complete a booking.
Can I make a booking online with my credit card if I am not traveling myself?

This will depend on the country of departure. In some countries, for security reasons, the holder of the credit card used to book a ticket or group of tickets must be one of the travelers on that itinerary, and will be required to provide identification and sign a credit card slip at the airport check-in counter prior to receiving boarding passes.

On the Enter billing information page where the credit card details are entered, if the "Cardholder name" can be typed in, you would be able to pay for the booking even if you are not traveling. If the "Cardholder name" appears in a drop-down menu and cannot be changed, you would unfortunately not be able to pay for the booking unless you are traveling.

As an alternative, you could select the option of picking up your tickets at a local Emirates office on the Choose ticketing option page. You could then go in person to an Emirates® office in the country of departure and pay for the tickets.

Please note that the fare quoted is only valid for payment in the country of departure. Due to ticketing regulations, a different fare may apply if you wish to pay for the tickets at an Emirates office in another country, or in some cases you may not be able to pay outside the country specified at the time of booking. After five days, the booking would be canceled automatically if tickets have not been collected and paid for. Please contact your local Emirates office to confirm.

Skywards® members may make a redemption booking for friends and family, and pay for the applicable taxes online with their own credit cards.

Once I am satisfied with an itinerary, how do I purchase it?
Once you have selected a combination of flights that you are satisfied with, click ‘Book this Itinerary’ at the bottom of the screen to begin entering your details. You will be guided through the process, from selecting a ticketing option, to entering passenger details, to providing payment information. Depending on your flight details, you may pay by credit card online or over the phone, or by cash or credit card in person, either at an Emirates® office or at the airport. You will be notified of your available options at the time of booking.
How do I know my ticket has been booked and paid for?

Once you have confirmed all your flight, personal, and payment details, a summary of this information will be displayed along with your booking reference.

The booking reference indicates that your reservation has been confirmed. An email confirming your booking will be sent to the email address provided by you during the booking process.

If I book online, how do I get my ticket?
If you book online, you may choose to receive either an electronic ticket (also referred to as an ‘eTicket’) or a traditional paper ticket.
What is an electronic ticket?
Emirates'® new electronic tickets do away with paper tickets and allow you to book flights conveniently over the internet. After you have completed the online transaction to purchase your tickets, you will be shown a confirmation page and sent a confirmation email, both containing your personal and flight details and a unique reference number. All you need do is print out either one of these and present it along with your passport at the check-in desk.
Where are eTickets available?

eTickets are currently available in the following countries:

Australia Japan Saudi Arabia
Austria Jordan Singapore
Bahrain Kenya South Africa
Bangladesh Korea (Republic of) Sri Lanka
China Kuwait Switzerland
Cyprus Lebanon Syria
Egypt Malaysia Tanzania
Ethiopia Maldives Thailand
France Mauritius Tunisia
Germany Morocco Turkey
Ghana New Zealand Uganda
Greece Nigeria United Arab Emirates
India Oman United Kingdom
Indonesia Pakistan United States of America
Iran Philippines Yemen
Italy Qatar
Ivory Coast Russia
What if I choose to receive a paper ticket?

Depending on your travel details, you may have the option to collect a paper ticket in advance at an Emirates® Office, on the day of departure at the airport, or have it delivered to you. Delivery can be made by courier or by mail, if time allows. Delivery options vary from country to country, however, and also depend on time before departure. Find out more about how we arrange deliveries in your country.

Please note that Emirates® can arrange to deliver tickets only in your country of departure. Please also note that if the scheduled departure of your outbound flight is less than 48 hours from the time you make your online booking, you must collect your paper tickets at the airport.  An alternative in this case would be taking the eTicket option if online booking is available in your country.

What are the time limitations on advance booking?
Online booking is not available for any flight where you attempt to book within six (6) hours of scheduled departure time. Online booking is also not available for any flight with a scheduled departure more than ten (10) months into the future.
