FAQs

Online Booking: Details

There are 14 FAQs for Online Booking: Details

Can I book a trip with multiple destinations?
Yes. Select the ‘Multi-city search’ tab on the Make a Booking page if your trip will take you through two or more cities before you return to your city of departure. You can also use this function to book a journey that begins in one city and ends in another after passing through one or more other cities in between.
Can I search for a one-way flight?
Yes. Select the ‘One-way’ tab on the Make a Booking page.
I have been quoted a very high fare, why?
Emirates® allocates seats for restricted and unrestricted fares in the same class, so you may find some seats available but at a higher cost. Lower fares may be available as special weekend deals or if you stay at your destination for a minimum amount of time.
How do I find the least expensive flights?

All search results can be sorted by price, but if you find that the rates you are quoted on a particular search are too high, check flights on different days—sometimes there may be special weekend fares or minimum-stay conditions that can yield a lower fare.

You may also be able to find better fares or more desirable schedules for your journey if you are open to the possibility of departing from one airport and returning to another airport in the same area. This option is only available in cities such as London that have more than one international airport.

Will extra fees and taxes be charged on top of the price I see quoted for my tickets?
We make every effort to show all fees and taxes during online booking, but additional fees and taxes may be charged on ticket issuance or at the airport if levied by the country of departure.
What is the maximum number of travelers for whom I can make an online reservation?
You can book online for up to nine (9) passengers, including all adults and children in your traveling party, except for flights between London Gatwick and both New York and Houston. Online bookings of these flights can be made for a maximum of four (4) seats in Business Class and a maximum of seven (7) seats in Economy. Please also see our Terms & Conditions.
Can I book more than one flight in each Log in session?
Yes. You can book up to 10 flights during each online session.
What is the difference between searching by: ‘Price’, ‘Price (dates flexible)’, and ‘Schedule’?

When you select ‘Search by Price’, you will see a list of flights for the dates you selected, arranged by fare. When booking return fares, you also have the option to ‘Search by Price (dates flexible)’, in which case you will see the best available fares for the dates you selected, as well as nearby dates.

When you select ‘Search by Schedule’, you may select each flight in your itinerary individually, to best suit your travel plans.

How do I use the ‘Timetables’ feature?
This feature allows you to quickly view flight timings and routes simply by entering the origin and destination of the flight, the type of journey (one-way or return), and the travel dates.
Why is a fare not quoted when I search using ‘Timetables’?
Among other factors, the price of all Emirates® tickets depends on the combination of flights you book. We can only quote you a price for the entire trip once you decide which specific flights you would prefer. As some flights are more popular than others, the price of tickets on these varies.
Why do the prices vary for the same flights at different times?
One of the factors that contributes to the price of our flights is the popularity of the route and the schedule. So two flights between the same points may be priced differently because one flies on a more popular schedule.
What is a promotional code?

A promotional code is a seven-letter code which relates to a special offer. Entering this code at the beginning of the booking process allows you to view search results specifically related to the offer.

The code will be provided as part of the special offer communications. Codes can only be received from offer communications and can not be provided by Emirates® independently.

How can I book a stopover?
If your route will take you through another city before your destination and you’d like to spend some time there, you may book a stopover itinerary. Simply select the ‘Stopover’ tab on the Make a Booking page. You may choose up to two stopovers in either direction.
What are the online payment rules?

When you are required to enter your billing information and credit card details during the payment process, you will see the link to the right of the screen called ‘See online payment rules’.

These rules apply for all bookings made on emirates.com:
