How to check-in for your Emirates flight
Checking in for your flight is simple and quick. Whether you want to check-in online, at the airport, or at home, you can choose a check-in option to suit you.

Airport check-in
Enjoy a warm welcome at our check-in desks. There’s a check-in area for each travel class or Emirates Skywards membership tier. We’ll help you to check in your bags and send your mobile boarding pass* to your email.
At most airports, check in opens 3 hours before departure. However, currently it can be up to 4 hours at some airports, so please check your ticket for the best time to arrive for your journey.
Get to your gate on time
You need to go through passport control and security 90 minutes before your flight. Reach your gate no later than 60 minutes before departure if you’re flying in Premium Economy or Economy Class, and 45 minutes before departure if you’re flying in First or Business Class.
It takes the following time to walk to each gate:
- A gates up to 20 minutes
- B gates up to 15 minutes
- C gates up to 25 minutes

Self check-in kiosks
It’s quick and easy to use our self check-in and bag drop kiosks at the airport. Tag your bags, collect your boarding pass and you’ll be on your way in no time. You can even operate the kiosk contactlessly from your mobile phone.
Emirates Check-in Ports
We have portable check-in stations at the airport where you can complete check-in with help from our team. Send a mobile boarding pass to your email to present through the airport on your phone, or print one out. Tag your bags and our porters will take them to your flight.
Group check-in
Learn more about Group check-inIf you’re travelling in a large group or as part of a school trip, use our separate group check-in desks in Dubai to speed up the process. Arrive three hours ahead of your flight and check in together at check-in zone C to make the journey smoother and easier.

Home Check-in, powered by DUBZ
Book home check-inMake the most of your time and let the check‑in agents come to you, wherever you are in Dubai. Our partners, DUBZ, will send a check‑in agent to you to weigh and tag your bags. Then they’ll send a mobile boarding pass to your email to present on your phone through the airport, or they can print one out. Then they’ll take your bags to your flight so you can travel hands‑free.

Emirates City Check-in and Travel Store
Learn more about Emirates City Check-in and Travel StoreYou won’t have to travel far from your home, hotel or office in Dubai with our Check in and Travel Store. Drop your bags at ICD Brookfield Place at the Dubai International Financial Centre (DIFC) as early as 24 hours and up to 4 hours before your flight, then head to the airport at your convenience.
Our ticketing and check‑in desks will be open daily from 8:00am to 10:00pm. You can check in with our agents, self check-in kiosks or with the world’s first ever check‑in robot assistant. And while you’re there, browse a selection of Emirates‑branded items at our Travel Store and have your order delivered to you.
Emirates City Check-in, Ajman
If you’re travelling from the northern emirates, take advantage of our 24-hour City Check-in at Ajman Central Bus Terminal(Opens an external website in a new tab).
You can check in as early as 24 hours and as late as 4 hours before your flight departs. Present your health documents and check-in your baggage. We’ll send a mobile boarding pass to your email to present on your phone through the airport, or we can print one out.
Emirates Cruise Check-in

We’ll make the transition from ship to land as smooth as possible and our port check-in is wheelchair accessible.At our check-in desks at the port, we'll weigh and tag your bags. We’ll deliver your bags straight to your flight at Dubai International for no extra fee, giving you more time to enjoy the city.
