Flights to Da Nang

Once a quiet provincial town, Da Nang is a booming beachfront destination on Vietnam’s extraordinary coastline.

Backdropped by lush, rolling hills and overlooking the dazzling South China Sea, the city sprawls out from the banks of the Hàn River. Da Nang’s buzzing districts are connected by an array of bridges, each a unique example of the impressive modern architecture the city is renowned for. Admire these engineering marvels and a mosaic of colourful lights as you cruise down the river on a nighttime boat tour. Don't miss the distinctive Dragon Bridge breathing fire and water in a thrilling show that draws large crowds.

Nestled among Da Nang’s contemporary structures is a wealth of captivating historical and religious sites. Discover magnificently detailed temples and pagodas, including the iconic Chua Linh Ung. In a tranquil location on the Son Tra Peninsula, you’ll find one of Da Nang’s colossal Guanyin Buddha statues looking across the bay.

While Da Nang is a vast, bustling hub of activity, it has an idyllic escape on the doorstep of its central districts. My Khe Beach, a pristine stretch of white sand dotted with coconut palms, is one of Vietnam’s most popular beaches. Cool off in crystal clear waters and watch dramatic sunsets bathe the sky in shades of orange and purple.

The verdant hills that surround Da Nang are home to breathtaking attractions too. Venture into the Ba Na Hills on a spectacular cable car ride and cross the iconic Golden Bridge, an incredible curved walkway suspended between two giant stone hands. Discover more unbelievable views on the Hai Van Pass, which is best experienced on the back of a motorbike driven by a local guide. Feel the breeze on your face as you weave along a meandering road through the glorious Annamese Mountains.

The Marble Mountains, a unique cluster of marble and limestone hills, are another of Da Nang’s natural wonders. Climb to the summit to find fascinating caves and wall carvings, along with beautiful pagodas and intricate Buddhist statues. Da Nang is a fantastic spot to sample the world-renowned Vietnamese cuisine. Mi quang is a delightful dish with soft rice noodles and a turmeric-spiced broth, topped with meat or fish and eggs. There are many delicious rice paper-wrapped rolls to try too. Succulent meat and fresh vegetables are a typical filling, making for a moreish snack.
